Shamrocks Top Lions to Even Record

Boston parlayed a decent outing from starter Willie Cantu into a solid win over the St. Louis Lions. The final score was 6-3. Cantu yielded 3 runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 5-4. Boston has now won 3 straight, while the Lions have lost 3 in a row.
Aldomiro Calambum had a big 2-run double for the Shamrocks in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Boston leading 3-2 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 28-year old right-handed pitcher David Enger and swatted a double to right. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Shamrocks ahead, 5-2.
