Jon Romano brought his A-game to help Boston defeat the St. Louis Lions, 5-0. Romano, now 4-4, was the winner. In 8.2 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The win puts the Shamrocks at 16-18, while the Lions drop to 16-18.

The outcome was still in doubt with two out in the top of the sixth inning, but Romano was able to pitch out of a jam. With runners on 1st and 2nd and St. Louis trailing 2-0, Romano retired Ricky Sori, who grounded out.
