Titans Score Late to Nip Pilots, 2-1
|
Ricardo Santana pitched a gem to lead Toronto to victory over the Atlanta Pilots, 2-1. Cory Murnane picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Francisco Chavez suffered the loss. The Titans now have a record of 13-10.
Sam Willaims was the walk-off hero for Toronto. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Titans second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm happy we won," said Santana. "That's first and foremost. My goal is for the team to win the day I pitch, however it's done."
