Salt Lake City pitcher Chris Roche did his part in helping his team beat the Los Angeles Knights, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Dan Frost earned the save for Salt Lake City, his 2nd. The Coyotes raised their record to 7-14.

The Coyotes got a big at-bat from left fielder Ben Mullaly. For the game, Mullaly went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Salt Lake City a 4-2 lead.

"Chris was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Salt Lake City manager Tyler Montgomery.
