The New York City Blues and Washington Warriors put on a pitchers' duel.

Jonathan Faulk, who is a three-time All-Star, was locked in. The left-hander led the New York City Blues to a 2-1 win against the Washington Warriors at Warriors Park. The loss puts Washington at 10-6.

Gregg Givens came through with a big-time hit for New York City. The right fielder smacked a solo home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said Faulk. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
