McPeak Picked Best ABC Pitcher Sunday, October 23rd , 2005 When the name of Oliver McPeak appeared on the Franklin lineup card in 2005, it was a virtual guarantee of a victory or at least a well-pitched game. For his brilliant performance this season he was named the Amateur Baseball Circuit Pitcher of the Year Award winner today. He started 18 games, running up a 10-3 record and a 2.22 ERA. McPeak held opponents to a .235 average while striking out 100, walking 38 and allowing 118 hits in 134 innings of work. He received 8 first place votes out of a possible 16.
