Long Beach Shuts Out Monarchs, Jackson Winner Monday, September 26th , 2005 Blake Jackson of the Long Beach Titans was masterful today, pitching a 3-hit shutout, 8-0, against the Manchester Monarchs. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Long Beach manager Elijah Green. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Jackson had 4 strikeouts and 2 walks in the outing.
