Franklin On Top of East Division Monday, September 19th , 2005 They may have won the East Division easily, but that didn't stop members of the Franklin Knights from celebrating joyously when the clinch became official. "It doesn't matter if you're one game ahead, or 100 games ahead, it still feels amazing to be division champs, especially in the East Division," said starting pitcher Oliver McPeak. "This is where you want to be from the get go when you start each year." The smiles on the faces of the Franklin players stretched ear-to-ear as they embraced each other in bear hugs, while yelling, singing, chanting and even drinking in their clubhouse, late into the night. It is the 1st division title for the club and they will now be vying for the 1st Amateur Baseball Circuit championship in team history. |
