Bolesta Selected Top Performer in ABC Monday, September 19th , 2005 At the age of 28, Dorek Bolesta might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Boston first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .533 batting average. For his efforts Bolesta collected the Amateur Baseball Circuit Player of the Week Award. He racked up 16 hits in 30 at-bats, 1 home run and 8 RBIs last week in 6 games. This season Bolesta has hit 4 home runs and posted a .391 batting average. |
