Big 3-HR Day for Broussard Thursday, September 8th , 2005 The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Eric Broussard did today at New Team Grounds, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 5-3. "It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Broussard said. "Good things happen, when that happens." The Las Vegas Amateurs right fielder blistered the Dallas Bulls for 3 hits, batted in 4 runs and scored 3 times. "It ain't like we weren't trying," Dallas manager Rodolfo Ramirez said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today." Eric Broussard hit a solo-shot off Jim Tumlin in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Tumlin in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jim Tumlin in the 5th and walked in the 7th. This season Broussard is hitting .294 with 52 hits, 7 home runs, 21 RBIs, scored 36 runs and played in 55 games. |
