Yuma's Santana Collects August Batting Honor Thursday, September 1st , 2005 Damian Santana is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Yuma left fielder joined that select company when the Amateur Baseball Circuit announced the results of August's voting. Santana totaled 31 hits, 7 walks, 9 home runs, 23 RBIs and 23 runs scored last month to put together a .348 batting average and .400 on-base percentage. Thus far this year Santana has hit .292 with 19 home runs and 57 RBIs. |
