Frost Too Tough, Blanks El Paso Sunday, August 14th , 2005 The Long Beach Titans did little to support starter John Frost against the El Paso Mavericks, but it turned out he didn't need the help. The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Mavericks, striking out 2 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Frost allowed Long Beach to escape with the 2-0 win despite an anemic offense. "Nobody came to me and said 'John, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Frost told BNN reporters following the win.
