20-Game Hitting Streak for Thomas Friday, July 29th , 2005 The number just keeps getting higher. Manhattan catcher Emmanuel Thomas has now extended his hitting string to 20 games. He did it today with 1 hit in 2 at-bats as the Manhattan took the 3-1 win over the El Paso Mavericks at Central Park. "Who knows how long it will go on?" El Paso manager Rick Schaunaman said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Emmanuel Thomas grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th and walked in the 7th. This season Thomas is batting .277 with 46 hits, 9 home runs, 33 RBIs, .352 OBP and has scored 36 runs. |
