Allentown Fleetwings Reliever Fell Through Barn Roof - Out 8 Weeks Friday, November 25th , 2005 A do-it-yourself carpentry project went awry for reliever Manny Garza, who reportedly crashed through the roof of a barn at his home in Maturín, Venezuela, breaking a rib and sustaining three non-displaced fractures in his vertebrae. The Allentown Fleetwings 25-year-old left--hander is expected to be laid up for close to eight weeks. He is hoping to compete for a spot in a revamped Allentown Fleetwings' bullpen, but the injury may pose a significant setback to those plans. |
