SPBC Top Manager is Holtz of Quebec City Saturday, November 5th , 2005 Curtis Holtz stepped before the microphone today and accepted his Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Manager of the Year award, thanking the whole Quebec City Blues organization for making the 2005 season such a success. Holtz struggled to find the right words. "My father was a drill instructor in the military. He taught me that you have to work hard, set goals and accept responsibility for your actions. That's what the entire Quebec City organization did this year. My dedicated owner, coaching staff, hard-working and talented players and loyal front office all made this award possible. I thank them for it." And what a year it was. Holtz sparked the Blues to a 48-40 record and a 4th in the East Division standings. |
