Blues Cruise to SPC Classic Series with Sweep Saturday, October 15th , 2005 The Quebec City Blues appear poised to make a serious run at the SPC Classic Series after a convincing sweep over the Newark Eagles in the Division Championship Series. It's now on to the SPC Classic Series for Quebec City, who won the final game 6-4 and took the series 4-0. "Everyone's doing their part and things are falling into place," said Quebec City third baseman Ryan Ream, who was named series MVP. "It feels like a special year." For the series, Ream hit .588 with a .611 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Quebec City Blues don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Salt Lake City Alpines - Vacaville Steelheads series. Vacaville leads the series 3 games to 1.
