In a superb outing at Vegas Stadium, the Aces pitcher blanked the Winnipeg Goldeyes 6-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," van Krimpen said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my fastball even when I was behind in the count." The Las Vegas starter held Winnipeg scoreless, giving up 4 hits while registering 5 strikeouts and issuing 1 walk. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Goldeyes manager Chris Vernon said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
