Emerich Tosses Shutout Against Albany Tuesday, September 13th , 2005 Hamilton Tigers starter Colt Emerich really did a number on the Albany Senators today, shutting them out 3-0 on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 8 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Albany manager John Williams. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Emerich." This season Emerich has a 15-5 mark in 20 starts with a 3.33 ERA. He has given up 159 hits in 151.1 innings, struck out 87 and issued 45 walks.
