Richmond Gone for Season in Calgary Wednesday, September 7th , 2005 Calgary right fielder Andy Richmond could miss the remainder of the season because of a broken bone in the elbow. He exited yesterday's Edmonton game after injuring himself while running the bases. The original diagnosis said Richmond would be out 6 months. Later on his doctors said he could be out even longer. "He's done," his manager commented at the BNN press conference. "It's a season-ending injury, but it could have been worse. It's not the worst-case scenario, so we're happy about that." Richmond is hitting at a .270 mark this season. His stats show no home runs, 1 RBIs and 5 runs scored. He has played 36 games for the Caracals. |
