Trade: Gomez for Torgerson Saturday, September 3rd , 2005 It has been in the rumor mill for several weeks, but today team officials for Newark and Southern California confirmed an agreement. The Eagles dealt 20-year old minor league RHP Robert Gomez and 21-year old minor league C William Espinoza to the Empires for 31-year old LF Adam Torgerson. For the year Torgerson is batting .368 with 105 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 41 times and driven in 31. |
