The Las Vegas Aces starting pitcher sustained a season-ending injury against the Albany Senators and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Haymes was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 11-12 months.
This season Haymes has worked 51.1 innings with 32 strikeouts en route to a 2-1 record and a 3.86 ERA.
