Goldeyes, Steelheads Swap Players Thursday, December 8th , 2005 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Goldeyes announced today the acquisition of 30-year old 2B Bob Brown from the Vacaville Steelheads in exchange for 35-year old LF Danny Schulz. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Goldeyes, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Schulz has played in 246 games and posted a lifetime .283 average. He has 250 hits, 34 doubles, 4 triples and 50 homers. In addition he has driven in 152 runs and scored 136 times. His lifetime stats show Brown has batted .288 and collected 132 hits, no home runs and 49 RBIs. |
