Deal: Alvarez for Hensley Monday, November 28th , 2005 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Edmonton Drillers and the Winnipeg Goldeyes have agreed to a deal that will have 20-year old minor league 1B Chad Lowry and 19-year old minor league LHP Stacey Alvarez heading to Winnipeg in exchange for 31-year old RF Mark Hensley. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. His all-time numbers show Hensley is carrying a .273 career batting average with 18 home runs and 80 RBIs. |
