Behind a fine performance from Luis Moreno, the Quebec City Blues knocked off the Newark Eagles, 6-4. Moreno was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Blues. Aidan Kelly converted his 2nd save in 2 tries. The Blues bumped their record to 44-38 with this win.
Julio Machado, the 35-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Machado contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the third inning to put Quebec City up, 2-0.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Quebec City manager Curtis Holtz.
