|
Pitching was the name of the game in a tight contest between the Toronto Titans and the Albany Senators. Toronto won it, 2-1. Toronto starter Pat Perkins was in command. Toronto is 34-44 and Albany, with the loss, 42-36.
Riley King, the 30-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. King contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the third inning to put Toronto up, 1-0.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Toronto manager Nigel Laverick. "Our pregame was pretty good."
