Keystones Win at Quebec City, 5-3
|
The Philadelphia Keystones picked up a win at Quebec City Grounds, knocking off the Quebec City Blues, 5-3. On the mound for Philadelphia was right-hander Bill Ravey, who played a pivotal role in the win. Joe Ivie was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 14 save opportunities. At 32-33, the Keystones find themselves in 6th place in the East Division.
Philadelphia used a well-timed hit by Wally Smith to capture the win. The right fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Keystones ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Philadelphia manager Corey Anderson.
