Blues Slap 5-2 Loss on Aces
|
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Quebec City Blues and Las Vegas Aces.
Quebec City Blues starter Aidan Kelly turned in a top-notch performance against the Las Vegas Aces at Vegas Stadium. The result was a win for the Blues, 5-2. Kelly went 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 6, and struck out 3. His record improves to 1-0. The save went to David Banks, number 1 for him.
Michael Weeks, the 25-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Weeks contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth inning to put Quebec City up, 4-2.
Weeks attributed the win to his team's "focus and intensity."
With the win, the Blues improved to 33-23.
