The 7-5 Las Vegas win over Allentown was due largely to Steve Contreras. The Aces first baseman was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Las Vegas, at 20-22, holds down third place in the West Division.

Contreras had a timely hit for Las Vegas in the top of the seventh. With Allentown trailing 5-3, he turned a 1-2 slider into a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season, making it 7-5, Las Vegas.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Contreras.
