Starting pitcher Colt Emerich had a solid game. He was a big reason the Hamilton Tigers throttled the Winnipeg Goldeyes, 3-2. Hamilton's record now stands at 20-13, placing them first in the East Division.

Hamilton grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and a runner on 3rd, Jerry Cornell delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 3-2 in favor of the Tigers.

"This was a tough loss," said Winnipeg manager Chris Vernon. "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
