The Las Vegas Aces put together a convincing win at Vegas Stadium, defeating the Edmonton Drillers, 11-2. Josh Cassidy was one of the hitting stars. He went 2-3 with a triple and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for Las Vegas. Dave Lewis, the winning pitcher, improved to 2-4. He pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 1 and walking 4. Ryan Hunter closed it out for his 2nd save.

With Las Vegas leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Cassidy hit a curveball from Eric McIntosh for a bases-clearing triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Aces ahead, 5-0.

"We came out aggressive," said Aces manager Joe Tompkins. "We came out swinging the bats."

After today's action, Las Vegas sits at 10-11, while Edmonton falls to 12-9.
