Best ABC Pitcher Announced Monday, October 18th , 2004 Howard Berard of the Providence Grays is in the spotlight today. He was acclaimed the best pitcher in the Amateur Baseball Circuit and will be honored with the 2004 Pitcher of the Year Award. He started 19 games and compiled a 8-9 record with an ERA of 1.93 in 149 innings with 91 strikeouts. He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dan Seagraves of the Houston Apollos finished second in voting, while Josh DeMarse of the Dallas Bulls finished third.
