ABC Player of the Week Named Monday, September 27th , 2004 Houston Apollos right fielder Rob Corkle had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Amateur Baseball Circuit named him Player of the Week. Corkle banged out 9 hits in 18 at-bats on the way to a .500 batting average. He also racked up 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 7 runs scored. So far this year Corkle has hit .296 with 12 home runs, 41 RBIs and 32 runs scored. |
