Serna Takes ABC's Best Bat Trophy Wednesday, September 1st , 2004 At only 21 years of age, David Serna could very well have many more months like this last one during his career. That would be great news for fans of the Manhattan Liberty, as August was one to remember for the first baseman and he has captured the Amateur Baseball Circuit Batter of the Month award. On the month he hit .410 with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 21 runs scored. This year Serna has collected a .309 batting average to date with 82 hits in 265 at-bats, 25 RBIs, 10 home runs and scored 38 times. He has played in 68 games. |
