Martinez's Season Could be Over Sunday, August 8th , 2004 When Juan Martinez was hurt against the Long Beach Titans, the Boston Battalion were hopeful that the injury was not serious. However, it proved to be more severe than first thought. The 23-year-old starting pitcher suffered a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament throwing a pitch in yesterday's game.
