Jared Herrick Nabs Best Player Trophy Thursday, October 21st , 2004 It's been a year of triumph for veteran Jared Herrick of the Vacaville Steelheads as he hit his way to the 2004 Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Most Valuable Player Award. The 33-year-old veteran compiled a .319 average and .416 on-base percentage by putting together 98 hits, 33 doubles, 2 triples, 17 home runs and 46 walks. He also scored 52 times and drove in 75 runs. He received 9 first place votes out of a possible 16. Drew Brooks of the Edmonton Drillers finished second in voting with 6 first place votes, while Ron Medlen of the Quebec City Blues finished third.
