Top SPBC Reliever Honored Saturday, October 16th , 2004 Francisco Casillas now has a big bargaining chip as he potentially heads towards free agency - he is the winner of the 2004 Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit Reliever of the Year Award. The Hamilton Tigers star turned in what he called the "year of my life," in winning the award. It included a 1.84 ERA through 73.1 innings and 41 relief appearances. He recorded 15 saves, 76 strikeouts and had only 24 walks. He compiled a record of 4-2, while limiting hitters to a .227 average. He received 12 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Joe Ivie of the Edmonton Drillers finished second in voting, while Kjeld Sijbrandij of the Hamilton Tigers finished third.
