Quittin' Time: Pelletier Retires Sunday, September 5th , 2004 Kyle Pelletier announced his retirement today according to sources inside the Quebec City Blues organization. Pelletier, who is 39 years old, gave reporters some of his plans for the near future. "I'm going to do a lot of hunting and fishing," he said. "I've always been focused on getting ready for the next season, so maybe now I can slow down and enjoy time away from it all." Pelletier went back and forth with the press in a friendly manner during his press conference. "I'm sure there's a small-mouth bass out there with my name on it," he said. His all-time numbers show Pelletier is carrying a .217 career batting average with 10 home runs and 47 RBIs. |
