Quebec City Trades Ries for Ottawa's Stockton Saturday, September 4th , 2004 A trade was announced today at a press conference in Quebec City. Not satisfied with their current roster, the Quebec City Blues general manager shook things up by acquiring 27-year old LHP John Stockton from the Ottawa Capitals for 21-year old minor league 2B Ricardo Ries and 20-year old minor league RHP Guillermo Orellana. "We're a better team now," Blues general manager Robert Quintero said. "We've added several pieces to the puzzle." For the season his stats show Stockton has no saves in 14 relief appearances with a 1-0 record and 1.62 ERA. |
