SPBC Chooses Rookie of the Month Wednesday, September 1st , 2004 August was a special time for Albany hurler, Matt Erez. It was such an outstanding month that the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit named him the league's #1 newcomer and awarded him the Rookie of the Month trophy. Last month Erez cruised through the SPBC with 3 wins and 1 loss and a 2.43 ERA as he fanned 34 in 29.2 innings and held opponents to a .219 batting average. So far this year Erez has 3 wins and 3 losses and a 5.29 ERA. |
