Moreland August's Best Bat Choice Wednesday, September 1st , 2004 Sam Moreland earned August's Batter of the Month honors in the Semi-Pro Baseball Circuit by reeling off a .385 average, going 37 for 96 with 3 home runs, 16 RBIs and 17 runs scored. The soon-to-be free agent was hitting with great urgency in an effort to bolster his asking price in the Saskatoon clubhouse and around the rest of the league. For the season, Moreland is hitting at a .319 clip with 5 home runs, 29 RBIs and has scored 34 runs. He has 69 hits, 21 walks and a .378 on-base percentage. |
