Haymes Dazzles in 5-0 Newark Win
|
The Newark Eagles went home winners at Empires Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Jonathan Haymes. Haymes stifled the Southern California Empires, enabling Newark to grab the 5-0 win. This loss makes it 7 in a row for Southern California.
Haymes's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 6 strikeouts in 7.2 innings while allowing 2 hits. Haymes goes to 1-1 on the year with 11 strikeouts.
"We'll sip on a cold one and savor this win," said Haymes.
