The Saskatoon Moose beat the Quebec City Blues, 8-5, at Quebec City Grounds. The win was due in part to second baseman Anthony Whitaker, who went 2 for 3 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Dave Bello earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3 innings. His record is now 1-1. The save was credited to Ernesto Castillo, his 17th.

Whitaker contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Saskatoon in the top of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Whitaker took a changeup from Kamlyn Ogawa and stroked the double to right-center. His 11th double of the season allowed the Moose to leap in front, 3-2.

"This is a very good team," said Whitaker. "We have the chance to do something special."

Saskatoon is now 36-22, while Quebec City is 31-27.
