Fleetwings Suffer 4-1 Loss to Vacaville
|
Vacaville Steelheads starter Mitch Cotham turned in an exceptional performance against the Allentown Fleetwings at Ballpark of Vacaville, resulting in a Vacaville win, 4-1. The Steelheads, at 35-20, lead by one game in their division.
The Steelheads got a big at-bat from right fielder Jared Herrick. For the game, Herrick went 1-3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 19th double of the season gave Vacaville a 1-0 lead.
"Mitch was pounding the zone," said Vacaville manager John Mills.
