Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Saskatoon Moose and Ottawa Capitals.

Saskatoon rode a decent outing from starter Aaron Cox to victory over the Ottawa Capitals. The final score was 6-4. Cox, the winner, moves to 6-4. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 10 and giving up 1 walk. Ernesto Castillo earned the save for Saskatoon, his 15th of the year.

Had Mike Hammons not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Hammons hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Moose.

"Glad to get this win," said Cox. "But we need to keep playing at a high level."

The victory gives the Moose a record of 32-21.
