Fleetwings Jolt Goldeyes, 2-1, with Late Rally

The Allentown Fleetwings scored a tight 2-1 win versus the Winnipeg Goldeyes at Fleetwings Ballpark. Allentown pitcher Jose Martinez held his own in the contest. Allentown reliever Bubba Ostendorf picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. Rhys Fox took the loss. Allentown is now 22-30. Winnipeg is 26-26.
The Fleetwings were down to their final out when shortstop T.J. Cipriani turned a 1-0 fastball from Rhys Fox into a 2-run single. The walk-off single made the Fleetwings Ballpark crowd go wild.
"We were in it," said Winnipeg manager Chris Vernon. "We just didn't score enough runs."
