Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Eagles
The Saskatoon Moose got a sterling performance from pitcher Aaron Cox, but the Newark Eagles still prevailed, 7-4. Cox threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Bobby Dirnberger was the winner. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Newark is 4th in the East Division with a record of 21-24.

Newark used the timely hitting of Juan Moctezuma to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Eagles on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
