Winnipeg got a decent performance from pitcher Tim King, but it wasn't enough to beat the Saskatoon Moose. Saskatoon won the Goldeyes Park contest, 4-3. King threw 8.2 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Earning his 10th save of the year was Ernesto Castillo. At 25-15, the Moose are currently first in the West Division.
Adrian Miyares, the 29-year old right fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Miyares contributed a run-scoring strikeout in the top of the ninth inning to put Saskatoon up, 4-3.
Miyares attributed the win to his team's "hyper resolve."
