Capitals Rally For 8-6 Win

The Newark Eagles and Ottawa Capitals delighted fans at Capitals Stadium.
The Ottawa Capitals downed the Newark Eagles, 8-6, at Capitals Stadium. The Capitals were led by Adam Torgerson. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Jeff Nesbitt, 3-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2 innings.
Torgerson had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 cutter from Tim Wharton, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Capitals a 8-5 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Torgerson.
Capitals manager Mike House wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
With the victory, the Capitals record now stands at 19-21.
