Moose Prevail, 4-2, Over Calgary

The Saskatoon Moose picked up a win at Moose Grounds, knocking off the Calgary Caracals, 4-2. On the mound for Saskatoon was right-hander Aaron Cox, who played a pivotal role in the win. Cox got the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 13 hits and walked 0 over 8 innings. Cox allowed 2 runs. Ernesto Castillo was credited with the save for Saskatoon, his 5th of the season.
The Moose got a big hit from second baseman Anthony Whitaker. In the bottom of the sixth, Whitaker pounded a run-scoring triple to right. His 1st triple of the season put the Moose ahead, 3-1.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Whitaker told the Saskatoon Bulletin.
With the win, the Moose have a record of 16-9.
