Blues Get Past Calgary for 6-5 Win
Quebec City beat Calgary at Caracals Stadium, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Ron Medlen. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Fernando Romero picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Danny Teague was tagged with the loss. The win elevated the Blues to 12-11.

Medlen had a timely hit for Quebec City in the top of the ninth. With Calgary trailing 5-3, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season, making it 6-5, Quebec City.

After the game, Medlen refused to speak to a reporter for the Quebec City Herald. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
